How to Find Your Jeans Size and Fit
Jeans are hard to buy online because every brand cuts them differently. Learn the four measurements that decide the fit and you can order with more confidence.
Waist and inseam
Waist is measured around the narrowest part of your natural waist, where you would wear the jeans. Inseam is the length from the crotch to the hem. Measure a pair that already fits you and compare it with the size chart on the product page.
Rise
Rise is the distance from the crotch to the top of the waistband. Low rise sits on the hips, mid rise sits just below the navel, and high rise sits at or above it. Rise changes comfort more than most people expect.
Cut
Skinny and slim are close to the leg. Straight falls evenly. Relaxed and wide cuts give more room. Pick the cut first, then the size.
Stretch
A little elastane makes jeans more forgiving and comfortable, but 100 percent cotton denim holds its shape longer. Read the fabric content and the customer reviews about sizing, which often say whether a pair runs small or large.
